Week 8:
1. Drew Curtis
Ric and Jazz both went to the City to reason with him but to no avail. Drew later returned to town and came to see Belle. He apologised for the things he had said, as did she and though they both accepted that their relationship was over, they parted on good terms. Drew was last seen driving away from the Bay to continue his education living with his father and Amanda in The City.

2. Macca McKenzie Cassie still wasn't happy though and told Macca she wanted to move back home, reminding him he'd said she could if things didn't work out.He followed her back to the Bay and tried to drag her back to the city, saying he wouldn't be able to manage without her, before hitting her.He then left, disgusted with himself. When Alf, Sally and Cassie went back to the house to get her things, they found Macca's stuff gone and a letter from him apologising to her and saying he was turning himself in.

3. Brodie Hanson
The truth was finally revealed when Hayley spotted Alex and Brodie kissing in Yabbie Creek and though she initially left town for a few days, she soon returned to have it out with Brodie. When Hayley left without seeing Brodie's point of view Brodie jumped in the car with her and the two argued as Hayley drove and she crashed the car into a tree. Whilst Brodie was relatively unhurt, Hayley was seriously injured and Brodie bore the brunt of the town's anger. She and Alex decided they could no longer stay in the Bay and left to travel the world together

4. Angel Parrish
When Summer Bay was hit by an earthquake Angel's house was one of the casualties. She was devastated at losing the home she had shared with Shane and began to question whether she should stay in the bay. When Simon returned and told her again that he loved her, Angel decided life was too short and made the decision to leave the Bay with him.
In 1996 (episode 2000) an emotional Angel and Dylan left the Bay to start a new life with Simon in his English mansion.

5. Max Sutherland
It didn't take long for Max to accept Beth Hunter into the family when she first started seeing Rhys, so naturally Max was very upset when he found out Rhys had been cheating on Beth with his ex-wife Shelley. Max took Beth's side, and when Rhys wanted to move back with Shelley after divorcing Beth, Max decided to leave Summer Bay and go to boarding school.

The season finale marked the opening of Noah's bar, a bar project started by Jesse. Josie Russell got the idea about naming it after Noah, and at the opening Hayley missed Noah. In the very last scene of the year Noah was seen for the final time as he walked in and kissed Hayley, who was asleep on the couch.

5. Who did Dani befriend in prison?
Dani went to jail, and got into trouble with "The Guv", one of the jail-veterans. Eventually Dani got The Guv's respect, and the two of them started a weird friendship, and stayed in touch when Dani was released from jail.
